Coaching and Consulting
At AG Multisport Coaching, we believe sport has the ability to improve individual’s lives. This means we view each our athletes as a person, first and foremost. We seek to enrich the athlete as a person through multisport.
Our approach to multisport training and competition is specific to the individual. We recognizing their distinct needs, we work with our athletes within their individual life priorities, professional and personal, to develop creative, flexible programming delivered by an engaged, enthusiastic, trustworthy coach.
There’s no magic to success in multisport. Success takes trust in the process of training and racing. Consistency in training and consistency in a mindset to stick to the process, sometimes fall down and always get back up. A balanced, structured, goal-oriented approach creates consistency in executing the components of a training program. The training itself:
Eudurance Training. Functional Strength. Nutrition. Recovery.
Our everyday priority as a coach is to facilitate this consistency. We take a long-term and short-term approach to the process. Nourishing the best out of the athlete and person evolves over time. In the short-term, our priority is to get our athletes to the starting line healthy in body and mind.
We believe an athlete’s investment in a coach is special and significant. Our coaching relationships begin with multiple conversations to ensure there is a personal fit between the athlete’s goals and their willingness to engage and invest into our development process. This includes:
- Understanding Time/Stress in the Athlete’s Life
- Reviewing General Sport Background
- Skill Level (Swim-Bike-Run)
- Determining Specific Goals
- Establishing Baseline Intensity Guidelines
- Heart Rate, Power, Pace, Perceived Exertion
Workouts are delivered through an online software program, TrainingPeaks. Plans are delivered in one to two-week blocks, the programming is process-based and organic. Using the goals and constraints of the athlete as guiding principles, our coaches develop the training program. As the athlete’s responds to training and as life inserts itself necessitating changes, the programming evolves.
